Our Sweet Potato Pecan Chai cookie has arrived!

Soulful R&B music and sweet treats go hand in hand!

Recently, I was talking to my friend Kadeem who owns Fat Butter Cookies, and thought about how cool it would be for YAMS had its own cookie. Kadeem said "say less" and literally within the hour, we were plotting this delicious collaboration 😮‍💨

For those who don't know, YAMS is a R&B music discovery platform that highlights the past, present and future of the genre. When I thought of the name YAMS, I was thinking about Thanksgiving time, soul food, southern hospitality, that feeling of being around family – all things that feel like R&B to me. Our colors and fonts are very warm and inviting. Our tagline is "Tastefully curated vibes, for the love of R&B."

I play around with food motifs a lot (our interview series is named The Side Dish, our guest-curated playlist is called Dinner Party), and so naturally, a food partnership was bound to happen.

Enter: Fat Butter Cookies' new Sweet Potato Pecan Chai cookie! The flavor profile is exactly what I think of when I think R&B music. It's soft, it's soulful. The pecans and sweet potato (yams) are odes to Southern culture. The chai spices add warm hints of the holidays and being around family. It's perfect!
